1st litho I used Bill's method

Post by calgrdnr »

Howdy Bill thanks for the great tip. I order 30 degre v-bit from http://www.centuriontools.com/router_bi ... ONSword=ww

the picture on the web site is not cut at 30. I ordered both they are wickedly pointed the point is needle sharp. I was afraid it would break of first run but it worked great with your tips. cut without rough cut. this is my first attempt so it is small . but man o man what a big smile it gave me... I hope pitures load I show 30 degree bit compared to 90 degree.

Thanks again Bill for sharing[/img]

Very nice! You just might have the record for the smallest litho posted. Smallest I've seen anyway.

Good work.

Howdy Jason,

It is my Mom's parents. Mom and Dad are retired so do a bit of travellin. so she carrys a night light . I am going to try make this into cover for the night light... Need to get those browny point. maybe I'll get extra home baked goodies when she visits :) over all size is 2 x 2.7 . image it self is 1.5 x 2.2 inches or close to that. It took about 45 minutes start to finish with the tool changes.

Thanks Bill.

Here is the first wooden night light frame I made to go with the lens / lithophane some flaws, but Mom will never point them out :)

Howdy all , I am still using bill's technique.Lithophane are addicting!. I have done quite a few some problems along the way, but nothing good is easy right :) I will only post some of my family :D

The lithos are 300%better in person,. I found 45 degree does just as well for lithos as the 30 degree at least for larger over 4 inch pictures. Still learning. but pretty happy with the results and getting lots of "Wows" and request to cut lithos for them.
