I like the Celtic font "BETA". I looked on dafont.com and wasn't sure of the title of the font. Which one is it? Thanks, dafont is a cool site.

Thanks, Brian. I haven't tried them yet but I bet Inkscape will convert the fonts into vectors for VCarving.

Morning Tony & Brian,

As those of us here in the US ready ourselves for the upcoming holiday, everyone on the forum is contemplating the more important burning question....

"Will Pro be released in June???"

Have a great day,

Good Morning Les!

more important burning question...

"Will Pro be released in June???"
And the answer is .... Hopefully!

We have wrapped up the code and are just finishing off the help file and I've been testing the installation program.

We need to generate new codes for all existing users and will then email all current users with the new codes and details of how to download the new version.

Important If anyone hasn't registered their email address with us here at Vectric you will NOT receive the upgrade email! Users who have received VCarve Wizard with their machine need to register with us so that we can provide you with the upgrade details.

An updated trial version will probably not be available for a week or two as we have been concentrating on getting the release version ready for existing customers.

So barring disasters you should be able to play with it before the holiday :)

Cheers

Brian

Hi Ed,
The end of June is getting close!

I am looking for that special email letting me know how I can get the upgrade!
They are on their way! With a whole 10 hours of June left here in the U.K :)

Seriously, there are a large amount of emails to be sent, so it will take a few hours for them all to go.

Also if everyone immediately goes for the download, the servers will probably take a hammering. The new download is about 18Mb and there are also some tutorial videos which are a considerable size as well.

Have fun

Brian

Got my email, downloaded the files and have been reading what all can be done with the new version. I am just sitting here with my mouth wide open. I just don't know what to say....... This is fantastic.

I bet you guys are walking around with BIG smile on your face.

Great job guys. Now I am not complaining, but as I was playing here tonight, I selected Walnut as my preview material....

I see a beautiful birds eye maple... :D Don't change anything but the name!!! I do a lot of work in maple and love the birds eye.

Hey Tony, I was playing around with the new software tonight, and it is looking really good. One thing though that I have been meaning to ask for, but have held off waiting for the new release......

I would really like to see an option whereby you could have the cutter ramp in and / or out of a cut. This would be especially usefull when cutting out a final project that requires more than one circumferential cut, I have noticed that my cutters will start right on the edge of the finished project and cut straight down to depth before starting to move. This has the tendency to create a bit of a divit on the side of the material.

It would be nice if we had an option to come into the cut on a tangent, straight in - inline with an edge or to arc in and out of a cut. The user would need to be able to specify the length of the in and out cuts comensurate with the size of the cutter. The arcing in and out feature could also be combined with the overcut feature as well.

I hope this is somthing that you can add in for us in the near future.

I really like tha tabs feature, this is a very much needed feature that all users will really appreciate.

Thanks for a really super piece of software.
