Plate Easel

I just finished designing and cutting this decorative plate easel. I wanted to make something that could be hung on the wall or used as a stand.
I cut it out of Oak and finished it with Golden Oak stain and Lacquer.

I wanted something that was relativity easy to sand, assemble and finish.

I plan on offering this on my site soon. 8)

That is cool. I like your design. It is very useful and pleasing to the eye. Thanks for showing it.

Tim,

Nice looking plate and stand! :wink: I have done something similar - this is a stand for signs or pictures. I stain/crackle paint then machine. The sides have rectangular "slots" to receive tenons on the back. No glueing is necessary. Your plate looks awesome, have you ever tried using epoxy?
