Jack-O-Lantern Mantel Decoration

Looking for a quick little project to get the Thanksgiving and Halloween season off to a fun start! Well we have you covered! This is an easy to cut and customize project that would look nice with a simple finish or give one to a child to paint as they want.

This project has a humble beginning as a sample part, Todd never likes to waste an opportunity to turn a quick test into something useful. This file contains a fun Jack-O-Lantern version that would work perfect as a Halloween decoration, and also a pumpkin version that has been customized with a bit of text.

We wanted our entire Vectric community to be able to take advantage of this project so it is compatible with Cut2D Desktop, Cut2D Pro, VCarve Desktop, VCarve Pro and Aspire as long as you are on the latest version. The text was created with a single line font and a profile toolpath using a small endmill. As always this gives Cut2D users the ability to cut the file, but also the flexibility for VCarve and Aspire users to update it with v-carving! This is a one cutter project, seeing as the profile and pockets use the same tool!

There are lots of opportunities to use this file for all sorts of projects! It looks great made with a piece of pine cutoff, like Todd did or a nice piece of hardwood to make any gathering a bit more fancy. Thanksgiving centerpieces, Halloween decorations, fun projects for the kids, or even a sign for the pumpkin patch are just a few things you might want to dig into. Speaking of digging into something how about a nice pumpkin pie!
