This is cut using a 90 degree V-Bit and 0.25” End Mill, the files for this are compatible with VCarve Pro 7.5 and Aspire 4.5 .

The file for this contains 3 toolpaths cut with the V-Bit and a Profile toolpath using the End Mill. The first toolpath puts a texture onto the background of the sign – this makes the sign look more rustic but also takes the longest time to cut, it could easily be eliminated if you prefer a cleaner look or want to cut your version faster. The second toolpath v-carves the text and flowers and the third adds the decorative border shape with a Profile toolpath. The last toolpath uses the 0.25” end mill to cut out the part with tabs to hold it in place in your stock material. Its setup for 0.5” thick material but can easily be changed by adjusting the material height and editing the depth of cut for the profile.
We used ply-wood to make our example but it would probably benefit from a nicer piece of material if you wanted a less rustic effect. For our example I sealed it with shellac, machined it, re-sealed it and then used a blue paint (applied not very carefully) and then sanded off the face of the material to get the contrast back. If I were to make another I would reduce the texture depth and be a bit less rushed with sealing and painting, I would also not paint the textured areas leaving the paint just in the text, flowers and border line.

This is very easy to make though and good practice to try out different ideas for finishing and create your own variations.
