Tic Tac Toe

Welcome to the Labs sessions! I’m Beki, a Senior Application Engineer for Vectric. I love to make and I am here to provide you with a FREE monthly project that you can download and cut for yourself!

Each project comes with its own video for you to watch telling the story of what we’re making from start to finish. It includes technical software footage, machining each part in the Labs and finishing the project, and as an added bonus, we throw in a few tips based on our experience! We would love to see what you turned this project into so download the files from your V&CO account then share what you’ve made on the Vectric Forum.

In this video Beki show’s you how you can use the game layout vectors that come included with your Aspire & VCarve software to create a Tic Tac Toe game on your CNC!

Making use of the included vector clipart Beki show’s you how you can take a standard game layout and customize it into a practical hands on game that uses marbles for the 0’s and X’s!

When designing this project Beki made use of the sheets feature, aswell as the offset and layout tools ensuring it is practical to machine and super easy for you to make changes to.

The game has been created in two parts; the base, which features the game board and pockets to store the game pieces when they’re not in use, made out of beech. And the top ring, that latches onto the base using magnets, designed to make the perfect stow away solution, made out of walnut.
