John Haggerty – Wooden Peg Box

Originally from River Edge NJ. Another small town outside New York City. I watched the twin towers being built from my bedroom window. My dad was an Electrical Engineer and so was his dad. I went to school to be a physicist and then Electrical engineer. Left college after 3 ½ years to be a woodworker. Served an apprenticeship with Jeffery Greene Design Studio in New Hope PA. 1983 Worked as a construction manager and restaurant manager from 1983 to 1987. Opened Haggerty Woodworking in 1987. High end custom woodworking business in New Hope PA.

The wooden peg box project is a great introductory project if you’re just starting out on your CNC journey. This is what I use for our introductory CNC class. The students can create their own shape whilst learning the basics.

This wooden peg box is perfect for keeping trinkets or jewellery inside or alternatively could be used to hold candy. The possibilities are endless.
